SAVE THE INTERNET and The Conversation.

I
would like to take a moment to say that it is important for you to
contact your local representative and to let them know that you
support net neutrality. Net neutrality is defined as, “the
principle that Internet service providers should enable access to all
content and applications regardless of the source, and without
favoring or blocking particular products or websites.”
I
don't know about you, but I do not want my internet provider
(Comcast) to be able to charge me more just for watching Netflix. Not
only that, but they could charge Netflix extra as well! That is
double dipping and the only double dipping I appreciate is in a nacho
bowl. Do us all a favor and go here
to help stop Internet providers from taking over the world. Support
Net Neutrality.
Now
that the brief civics lesson is done, how about some friendship? I
want to mention my go to move to start a conversation. I have talked
before about how all people have things in common. I think my first
example was the weather and how we all experience it. Well I am about
to take an idea and abstract it to the extreme. I mean that in an
artsy way.
Anyway,
the idea is time. We all experience and we all do our best to stay
busy or maybe avoid being busy. So what does time have to do with
finding some friendship? Well ask that person how they have been
spending most their time lately. Or another way to phrase it, “what
is keeping you busy lately?” Now if they are smarty pants they
might say sleeping or work. Well ask about what they do besides those
things. Chances are that person will share a hobby they are
passionate about, or maybe they will complain about their young
children it does not matter. The idea is to see what is important to
that person. And for all people time is very important.
