About Me

Hello there! My name is JP and I'm the architect of this seemingly ridiculous project. I was born and raised in a medium sized town in the middle of five siblings. I love my family, but sometimes it's hard to remember all the birthdays! Anyway, I bet you are wondering about this friendship stuff? Well it is simple. I want to make friends, and today I discovered that literally EVERYONE is trying to make friends! Who would have thought that we pretty much all have so much in common right off the bat. After all, companionship is one of life's many needs. So why don't you stick around and join the fun.

I like to think of myself as a simple man. I enjoy nights out on the town, playing video games, drinking booze, good company, working out, Netflix with no chill, Music, cooking and you know the usual stuff. I have a lot of different interest, everyone else has lots of different interest, and its fun to try different things.

At this time in my life, I'm trying to say yes to anything. Right now I'm preparing to run a tough mudder. I barely like to get off the couch for a dropped cheeto let alone run, but here I am getting fit enough to run, dip, duck, dive, and dodge for 5 miles in sloppy mud. It will be a challenge, but that's were the fun in life comes in. What does all this have to do with friendship? Well these activities typically involve those goofy people you just can't get enough of dragging you along to something you never thought you could do. I'm telling your right now that you CAN do it.

BOBW 11 In the spirit of practicing what I preach, I decided to take a trip out this weekend. My memory is still a little fuzzy due to plenty of alcohol, but I will do my best to recollect the night. It started out just like any other night, the clock hit the 10 PM and that means it was time to suit up. I wanted to check out a particular spot called the 8 bit Beercade. This place is fun twist between a bar with plenty of interesting beer options and a video game arcade as the name suggests. The concept is very similar to what I want to do, so I thought it would be best to see how it works up close and not sober. A Bar's Universal Greeting

BOBW 12 When you see a pretty young lady across the room, the thing men are taught to do is offer her drink. You stumble up to her, mumble a greeting and then ask, “Can I buy you a drink?” She will typically respond with a yes and once she gets that drink BOOOOOOOOM she is gone like Sonic the hedgehog after spotting a chili dog cart. OK it does not always have to go like that but that's pretty typical from a male point of view. So why not spend that money on someone who will appreciate it? Buy that drink for a fellow man! He will be much more likely to assume you have no agenda and accept the gesture of friendship you are putting forth. I had this realization when I saw guy dancing at a bar and he spilled his drink and looked completely defeated. He gave a bit of a smile and said, “Oh well!” Then he headed to the bar for another drink.
